New Google Docs 101 Tutorial Now Available

We are continuing to expand our Google tutorials with Google Docs 101. Google Docs is a free, web-based office suite that allows users to produce documents, spreadsheets and more. Google Docs is becoming more and more popular because it allows you to store your documents and files online in the Cloud which makes accessing and sharing them pretty easy.

If you are familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, you will find the tools used to produce Google Docs are very similar. The types of docs you can produce in Google Docs includes: Documents, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Forms and Drawings. Google Docs does not have as many features as the Microsoft Office suite, but if your needs are limited and you do not want to pay for the Office software, then it makes a nice, free alternative.

• How to share, publish and collaborate on docs

Google Docs 101 will not teach you how to use the various tools, commands and features for working in the individual types of docs. Later this year we plan on creating separate tutorials for Documents, Spreadsheets and Presentations for those who are beginners at working with office suite software.
