100K Downloads of Our Mobile Apps

We’re excited to announce that we have had over 100,000 downloads of our mobile apps!

That means that in only five months, we have reached thousands of people around the world through this new technology. When we first decided to design mobile applications based on our tutorials, we had no idea what kind of response to expect. It’s safe to say that we didn’t expect to reach so many so fast!

In total we have eight mobile apps. The first was our Vocabulary Dictionary Mobile app for iPhone. We then added tutorial apps for Word 2010, Excel 2010, and PowerPoint 2010, available on both iPhone and Android devices. A Word 2010 Tutorial app for the iPad is the most recent to join our family of mobile applications.

The most popular mobile application is the Word 2010 Tutorial App for iPhone with 60,874 downloads. While the iPhone apps have outperformed the Android apps in total downloads, we’re proud to say that all eight applications have garnered high ratings and positive feedback.

So what are our plans for the future? We’re going to update the current tutorial apps to help their functionality and ease of use. We plan to design all of our Microsoft Office tutorial apps for the iPad platform. As new tutorials are created for the website, we’ll work on turning them into mobile apps and the most exciting news of all, we’re even looking at creating original content designed specifically with mobile application technology.

Suffice to say, we’re busy! (or at least our designer, Dean, is!)

What tutorials do you think would work well as mobile apps/that you would like to see be turned into a mobile application?
