Have You Checked Out Our YouTube Channel?
As the third most visited website in the world, I’m sure you’ve been to YouTube. Even if you haven’t gone directly to the site, you’ve probably seen embedded video hosted by YouTube on a website or blog. But did you know GCFLearnFree.org was on YouTube, too?
We may not have cats playing the piano or babies laughing, but GCFLearnFree.org has an active YouTube channel where we provide videos we have created for the GCFLearnFree website, as well as share videos available on other YouTube channels we feel may be relevant to you.
Most of our Microsoft Office video tutorials can be found on our YouTube channel organized by playlists. Unlike your experience within the lessons on GCFLearnFree.org, you can watch the video tutorials back to back, uninterrupted. Videos for Windows, Internet Basics, Twitter, and Math Skills are also available.
We continue to add our Reading videos; we’ve uploaded over 60 videos so far and will have over 1,000 when we are done! As we create new video tutorials for the GCFLearnFree website, we will insure all of that content is also available on our YouTube Channel.
Why make our content available on YouTube? For several reasons. Our mission is to create and provide quality online learning opportunities to anyone who wants to improve the skills necessary for them to be successful in both work and life. While over a million learners have visited GCFLearnFree.org, we can reach even more if we take our educational content to where the people can be found. How better to do this than on one of the most popular websites on the Internet?
Also, as YouTube allows for more interaction than on our traditional website, we encourage viewers to comment and give us feedback on our tutorials. Ask questions. Let us know what you liked, and what you didn’t like. We want to hear from you!
I also like the ease of searching on YouTube. If you are interested in quickly finding a video tutorial on simple formulas for Excel 2007, you can find it immediately on our YouTube page, rather than sifting through several lesson pages on our website.
We know you love GCFLearnFree.org so show us love over at our YouTube Channel by subscribing: http://www.youtube.com/gcflearnfree
Feel free to comment on videos and let us know what you think!
