New Access 2010 Tutorial
Our Access 2010 tutorial is now available for those of you who might be interested in learning how to use a database. Access 2010 is a relational database software that comes with the Microsoft Office suite. It allows users to enter, manage, search and run reports on large amounts of data or information.
Our new Access 2010 tutorial currently includes 11 lessons, 17 videos and 7 interactives that focus on how to use an Access database. We will also be adding an additional unit on simple database design tips by the end of March for those who may have some interest in how to modify or design certain Access components.
Take a look at the below videos to get an idea of what Access 2010 is all about.
Should you learn Access 2010?
Unlike Microsoft Word or Excel, Access is not a software that home users will likely find very convenient for their everyday life tasks. However, some workplaces and businesses maintain an Access database for their data needs, so knowing how to use Access may be a good job skill to have.
Microsoft Access does allow you to build a database from scratch, however our course does not focus a great deal on database design since learning how to build databases is a very advanced, and potentially complicated, subject. Instead we focus on how to use an existing Access database, since that is more likely what learners will need.
Our course includes learning how to:
- Manage an Access database and its objects
- Enter, view and modify data in Tables and Forms
- Use sort and filter options to view specific data
- Create Queries to search and analyze data
- Produce and run Reports to present data and make it meaningful to others
Visit Access 2010 to get started. Our instructor-led online class for this course should be available in early April.
