GCFLearnFree.org is no longer requiring a membership. Access to our free resources has just gotten even easier. Browse the computer tutorials, play an interactive in the Everyday Life section, or examine the Reading Program without having to sign into the website. If you would like to track your learning history on GCFLearnFree.org, then you can still sign into your old account or create a new one with the sign in button in the upper right portion of the screen. For those of you that like taking the computer classes, you will still use the same account to access your classes. Or, if you would like to take a class and have not created an account, then you will need to create one to take an online class. We hope you enjoy the new freedom in learning here at GCFLearnFree.org.

Thanks so much. Only a person who has experience with inner city people who needs this free service can know how valuable you are. Thanks so much!

Thank for providing these free resources. Being self employed and a bit of a self starter I always look to the web to further my education. I worked in IT administration for a number of years and realize that everyone learns at their own pace and by different venues. You are providing a valuable portal here.

Great new option for those who already have too many accounts and passwords! Having the opportunity to track progress by signing in is good, too.

I noticed that all classes are now for Office 2007 programs and that Office 2003 classes have been discontinued. As someone who works in the community, I’ve noticed that many (not all, but a significant number) employers are still using Office 2003.

If it’s feasible, please consider bringing back instruction in Office 2003 for those who need to work with this version of the program. As an alternative, could previous training videos and exercises be made accessible even if formal classes are no longer offered?

Thanks for considering even more flexible options. You are doing a great service, and all of us who know about your web site appreciate your hard work.

Although we no longer offer the instructor supported version of the Office 2003 – all of that content is available in our self paced topics, under the Computer Training part of our site.

For those who may not have an email account (particularly when viewing coursework such as “Computer Basics” where email isn’t something the student knows about yet), it would be great to be able to access the quizzes without an account sign-in. Can you provide a printable quiz or an account setup that doesn’t require an email account?
This would let students quiz themselves before they are capable of setting up their own email account.

    Thanks for your super curriculum!

Tom F – it is possible to take the quiz without an account. You just will not be able to save your results. Just click the “Take the Quiz” link to work through the quiz.
