Instructional Designer (Online Video Tutorials) Position Available
GCFLearnFree.org is looking for a talented educator to produce online video screencast tutorials for our e-learning programs. The instructional designer will be responsible for developing a wide range of curriculum and learning content from career and computer training to math and adult literacy using a combination of screencasts, interactive activities, and written content. They will join a small, creative team dedicated to producing the highest quality online learning content under the direction of the Instructional Content Coordinator. Key responsibilities of this position include:
- Screencasting – create screen movies using Camtasia Studio or equivalent.
- Instructional Design – participate in the planning and design of instructional content using appropriate instructional design methodologies.
- Scriptwriting/Storyboarding – develop documents necessary to produce effective screencasts and interactive content.
- Video editing – edit screencast content using Final Cut software.
- Interactivity – use Articulate Engage, Adobe Captivate or equivalent to produce interactive activities.
- Writing/Editing – write, edit, and proofread instructional and website content.
The Instructional Designer must be able to work as part of a team, hold their work to extremely high standards, and possess an exacting attention to detail.
Requirements
Four-year college degree in related field and at least two years of related experience. Experience with industry standard instructional software including Camtasia Studio, Articulate Engage and Adobe Captivate or their equivalents. Editing experience with Final Cut a plus.
