Filing your tax return can become expensive and can be difficult if you are not familiar with tax law or the recent tax incentive programs set forth by the government. To try and help families with low to moderate incomes on their tax returns, the IRS has joined with TurboTax to provide free e-filing services for federal taxes of qualifying families. The software is called TurboTax Freedom Edition and will also allow families in 20 states to file their state taxes for free.
