Do you enjoy word games?  Are you learning English and looking for the chance to practice your new skills?  If so, Word Match, the latest addition to our Everyday Life page, may be for you.  In this activity, you will be shown four words and four images, and you will have to decide which ones belong together.  Some of the combinations are obvious, others more tricky.  This exciting new game is sure to keep you guessing as you build on your language skills.

As you play Word Match, you might think about how several of the words could have multiple meanings.  For example, “well” could be matched with a picture displaying someone who is good or healthy, or it could just as easily be matched with an image showing a place where water is gathered.  When a word/image combination surprises you, take a few minutes to think about why.  You might even consider how you would choose to illustrate particular words in your own creative way or what, if anything, the more difficult words have in common.  As always, we would love to hear about your experience with the activity.
