IRS Has Understanding Taxes Tutorials

Did you know that the IRS offers free online training modules to help de-mystify taxes?  Even if you’ve spent a lot of time on their website, you may have overlooked this helpful resource, as it is pretty much buried there.

Check it out! You can try your hand at some activities, role play in some tax scenario simulations, or proceed through a series of tax tutorials.

The Hows of Taxes will teach you all about filing status, interest income, exemptions, tax credits, and more.  The Whys of Taxes addresses the history behind US taxes, explains what they are used for, and what your role is in paying them.

Let me know if you find these useful.  And please, comment below on the tax topics you’d like to know more about, as GCFLearnFree.org is planning future learning around taxes, tax credits, and filing your tax returns.
