A Trip Around the World…Kinda

You may not know this but some of our videos and tutorials are posted on YouTube. We get great traffic and feedback from YouTube viewers. One neat feature that YouTube recently added was Insight. Insight gives you all the cool stats you want to know about your videos like, how many times it has been viewed, how people find your videos on YouTube, and my favorite category, Popularity that tells us which countries are watching. It’s always motivating to take this little trip around the world because it brings a big smile to my face when I see that people from, Africa, Turkey, Australia and the United States all want to know about “Working with What-If Analysis.” Who knew so many people would find it interesting! Then I started wondering about our learners and what they look like, if they learn from home or a lab, and what they spend most of their time doing on the computer (besides learning with GCFLearnFree.org of course). I want to get to know you a little better. Tell me where you’re from, where you like to learn (home in bed, computer lab, Internet café), and what you spend most of your time doing online. Can’t wait to hear from you.
I Timothy kwena Im a Kenyan citizen, Kisumu city I like learning different things in the computer especially the way computer analyses things or data.Mst of my time I spend in the comunity creating HIV awareness. The moment I get free time I take my time to learn how to use computer at Workplace this where I enjoy most because at the internet cafe it too expensive to manage the cost,and since don’t own any computer at my resitantial place.
It’s a good feeling to know that a whole lot people from different Countries around the world sign in to take these courses. It’s great.
I am in the UK-London and i do take the courses from home in my leisure time. I do spend alot of time on the computer. I do alot of research work, i also go on educative websites for kids to help my kids with their school work. My 7 year old boy’s class is learning about Ancient Egypt so i had to go on the computer and look for more information on ”Ancient Egypt”so he’s read ahead of his class.These are some of the things i do. I like to learn and read widely so i also go to sites that can also help me in alot of ways.

I’m from Alaska in a really remote town – and we recently just got computers – which I’m so happy about! Thanks to GCF I now know how to operate a computer!
