Just Thinkin’

By allison 15 October 2008 9 Comments

We’re in the process of restructuring the blog to give it a little more personality! So I started thinking about what brings people to blogs. Do people enjoy reading a post, listening to a podcast or watching videos? What is it that keeps people coming back for more? Do they look forward to seeing something new every day? Every week? I just can’t figure it out. So this is where I’m enlisting your help. Why are you interested in reading blogs? Do you just enjoy reading what other people have to say?

Blog about it below!

I think that it should be easier to navigate, to be able to contact some of the admin. to be able to ask questions that aren’t entirely answered in other places.

    Linda,

I agree! Blogs can be both interesting and informative. I also think it’s great that you can interact with people on the Inernet. We’ve come a long way since snail mail and the telephone! More than anything I like to interact with those who visit our site. It’s nice to know what you enjoy, like, and even dislike about us! I enjoy reading other blogs as well, for many reasons. Mostly I enjoy the voice behind it. It’s kind of like getting to know a new friend and seeing what they think about a particular issue or subject. Then you get a chance to have a conversation and blog on and on about it!

I’m a lawyer with a keen interest in software technology as a means of enhancing office productivity, profitability and morale. Your training programs in Word, Excel and PowerPoint are the best I have ever seen! That you provide them free to the world is a huge contribution to computer literacy which in this 21st Century is determinative of a person’s employability. Thank you for this wonderful and selfless service.

I mostly check out blogs to see what others are thinking and what new info and insights I can find and apply to my daily life. I too am wondering what makes a “good” blog. Or more like what makes a blog successful. I like learning new skills so I think this website is wonderful for brushing up on skills that have become rusty or learning about new functions in software that will make my work more productive. I would like somewhere to post challenges I am facing creating new systems, like templates and forms, for example, or other design issues.
